PDP govs hit Uyo with 15 private jets during the Atiku campaign

Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa, the Peoples Democratic Party's presidential nominee and vice presidential candidate, arrived in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, on Monday in no less than 15 private and chartered jets for the official launch of the party's campaign ahead of the 2023 election.

According to information obtained by The PUNCH, other governors who were elected on the party's platform, besides Rivers State's Nyesom Wike and his counterparts in Oyo State (Seyi Makinde), Benue State (Samuel Ortom), Abia State (Ikpeazu Okezie), and Enugu State (Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi), were present at the event.

Along with other party veterans, the party's National Assembly members and members of the National Working Committee led by the National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, attended the inauguration at the Nest of Champions International Stadium.

Additionally present at the event were members of the PDP Board of Trustees, led by Chief Adolphus Wabara, a former Senate President.
