A Letter to the Red Candle

Dear Red Candle,
 
You did it again. You came out of nowhere, broke through all the support levels, and left a massive crack in the floor of my portfolio. Looking at this 3D chart, I can almost hear the ground shattering.
 
I’m not going to lie; it hurts. Watching your favorite assets bleed red while the whole timeline is panicking is a unique kind of pain. The first time you visited, I panicked and sold at a loss. The second time, I closed the app and pretended you didn't exist.
 
But this time is different. I’m writing this to tell you that I’m not scared of you anymore.
 
You are a necessary evil. You are the ultimate stress test for investors. You separate the tourists from the believers. You remind us that the market doesn't owe us anything and that leverage is a dangerous game. Without you, we would never appreciate the green candles. Without the cracks you leave in the floor, we would never build a stronger foundation.
 
So, thank you. Thank you for the tough lessons, for making me manage my risk better, and for giving me a chance to accumulate more at a discount.
 
I know you will visit again. And when you do, I'll be waiting with my limit orders ready.
