There was a pastor called Pastor Uche. He was a very serious man. Every Sunday he would preach about honesty.

One Saturday night, his neighbor’s chicken entered his compound. The chicken was fat and fine. Pastor Uche looked left, looked right. Nobody was watching.

He caught the chicken and put it inside. `I go use this one for church Thanksgiving tomorrow. Na God send am.`

Next morning in church, he preached fire: `My people, if you see something that is not yours, return it! God is watching!`

After service, Mama Ngozi ran to him crying. `Pastor, my chicken is missing. That chicken dey feed my 4 children o.`

Pastor Uche coughed. `Ezi mgbede Mama. We go pray. God go provide another one.`

That night he couldn’t sleep. The chicken was in his kitchen looking at him. He remembered his sermon.

By `Ezi ỄtỄtỄ`, he carried the chicken and knocked on Mama Ngozi’s door.
*Pastor Uche:* `Mama, I meela nke į»ma. This is your chicken. The devil tempted me.`
*Mama Ngozi:* _shocked_ `Pastor?! Daalu so much. Chukwu go bless you.`

The next Sunday, Pastor Uche preached again. But this time he started with: `Last week I failed the test. But God gave me second chance. Let’s practice what we preach.`

From that day, the whole village respected him more. Because he owned up.

*Moral:* `I meela` and `Daalu` fit correct even big-big mistake. Truth dey set you free.
