Kaka, also known as Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who is considered one of the greatest players of his generation. He began his career with the Brazilian club Sao Paulo before moving to AC Milan in 2003, where he established himself as one of the top players in the world.
Kaka was known for his technical skills, vision, and passing ability, which helped him become one of the most creative and effective midfielders in the game. He was also known for his ability to score goals and his work ethic on and off the field.
In 2007, Kaka won the Ballon d'Or, awarded to the best player in the world, and the FIFA World Player of the Year award, becoming the first player from South America to win both awards since the inception of the awards in the 1950s.
Kaka spent six seasons with AC Milan, winning the Serie A title, the Italian Super Cup and the UEFA Champions League. He also helped the team reach the Champions League final in 2005.
After a successful spell with Real Madrid, Kaka returned to Milan for a season before moving to Orlando City SC in 2015. He retired from professional football in 2018 and had a brief stint as coach of Sao Paulo's youth team.
Kaka is widely regarded as one of the greatest Brazilian footballers of all time, and has been included in the FIFPro World XI, the UEFA Team of the Year, and the FIFA World Cup Dream Team. He is a devout Christian and is also known for his philanthropic work, particularly through his Ricky Kaka Institute.
