What is the project schedule ?
It is an output which includes linked activities , milestones , durations and resources.
I t also contains delay between activities which defined as Lag
But the opposite of lag it called Lead ( Negative Lag )
Example :
Task B will start after 3 days from Task A finishing date
Now we will take a look for Leadin the above example : Task B & Task A have lead = 3days (another meaning Task A & Task B have -3 days Lag )
Dependency Relationships
Every schedule has many types of relationships between activities as following :
- Finish to Start: The successor task cannot start until predecessor task has been finished
- Start to Start : The successor task cannot start until predecessor task has been started
- Finish to Finish: The successor task cannot finish until predecessor task has been finished
- Start to Finish: The successor task cannot finish until predecessor task has been started
