Poha is the best and healthy option for breakfast. Which takes just 15 to 20 minutes to make. To make it healthy, you can add different types of vegetables, peanuts or peas to it. There is no decrease in its taste even if it is made in less oil.


Although upma is a South Indian breakfast, it is eaten with great relish in North India as well. Upma is a very tasty recipe made with semolina.

You can increase its nutrition further with curd, different types of vegetables. It also takes just 10 to 15 minutes to make.

Moong Dal Chilla

If you have very busy mornings, you can prepare your breakfast along with your own preparations without wasting time.

Soak green moong dal overnight and grind it in the morning. Mix onion, tomato, salt, green chili, chopped coriander according to taste.

Prepare the batter with curd or water and bake it on a griddle. Two chilas will be enough to keep you full till lunch.


Now-a-days ready-made batter for idli is available in the market. Which can be easily used for a week. Idli is a very light and healthy option for breakfast.

It tastes delicious even if eaten with only chutney without sambar. If the batter is ready then it takes only 10 minutes to make it.

Mix Veg Paratha

In most homes, parathas are made for breakfast in the morning but with stuffings like potato, cabbage, radish and so on.

Stuffing parathas also sometimes cause gas and acidity. So for this you try Mix Veg Paratha. Whatever vegetables you have in the flour, mix them and knead them and then make parathas out of it. Eat with pickle or curd.
