THE WEIGHT OF BEING CONSISTENT

Nobody really prepares you for the emotional weight of being consistent.

At the beginning, it’s exciting. You’re full of ideas. You’re motivated. You tell yourself, “This time, I won’t stop.”

But consistency stops feeling exciting after a while.

It becomes routine.
It becomes expectation.
It becomes something you owe to yourself.

And that’s where it gets hard.

You have to show up when you’re tired.
When engagement drops.
When you’re not sure you’re improving.
When life outside your goals feels chaotic.

Some days you question everything.

“Is this even working?”
“Should I pivot?”
“Am I forcing this?”

The stress isn’t always the work itself.

It’s the pressure of not wanting to break your own streak.
It’s the fear of losing momentum.
It’s the quiet comparison with people who seem ahead.

But here’s what I’m learning:

Consistency isn’t loud.
It’s not glamorous.
It doesn’t always feel powerful.

It feels ordinary.

And that’s why it works.

Because while most people stop when it feels boring or heavy,
the ones who keep going slowly separate themselves.

Not overnight.
Not dramatically.

Just steadily.

And sometimes, the bravest thing you can do
is show up again tomorrow, even if today felt small.
