Blockchain Solana, after 1 year without any major technical problems, continues to have to stop creating blocks. While the technical team is looking for the cause, the crypto community seems quite excited about this story.

After 1 year of "no lag", the Solana network continues to "freeze"

On the afternoon of February 6, 2024 Vietnam time, the crypto community discovered that Solana's mainnet-beta network had temporarily stopped producing new blocks. Or simply put, the network "freezes".

The Solana programmer team quickly announced:

"Solana mainnet-beta is having problems, new block generation is currently paused, core engineers and validators are actively verifying the cause."

Blockchain Solana stopped working for about 1 hour and the technical team has not yet determined the cause.

Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency community is very interested in this incident. Solana was often ridiculed in the past for constantly having blockchain downtime incidents, so frequent that it was nicknamed "Solagna" by the community. In September 2021, the network"frozen" for 16 hours, causing a lot of damage.

But the most recent timeSolana network has problemswas on February 25, 2023, nearly 1 year ago. Since then, Solana has been operating smoothly, without any major technical problems, so the community thought that Solana had "run out of lag".

Unfortunately, the current incident ended Solana's "one year unbeaten" streak.

SOL price is trading around 93.8 USD, recording a strong falling candle when news of the incident spread.
