On the restructuring of our network from a global perspective
I have lived in Japan for many years, but in recent years, as I have been reassessing my career and circumstances, I have made a significant shift in the way I approach my relationships.
Through my exposure to global economic trends and the cutting edge of business, I have come to strongly appreciate the importance of diverse, cross-border networks. In particular, connections with partners who possess a global perspective, along with the ability to make swift decisions and take decisive action, have become an indispensable element of my work.
Consequently, over the past five years, I have shifted the focus of my professional interactions from within Japan to overseas. Currently, the majority of the people I connect with online are based abroad. This is not merely a matter of personal preference, but the result of choosing the environment best suited to realising the ‘autonomous and efficient way of working’ that I aspire to.
Of course, I have no intention of dismissing Japanese culture or its people. However, personally, I have chosen to operate within a global community that offers a broader perspective and the ability to adapt to change. This choice is my honest answer to the question of how I perceive the world and where I intend to create value.
