*1. 5-MINUTE YOUTH SERMON POINTS*
*Topic: Times and Seasons – Why Your Mates Are Ahead*
*Text: Eccl 3:1, Gal 6:9*
*Time: 5 mins*
*Hook - 30 sec:*
Raise hand if your mate don buy car, marry, or japa and you’re still here. You ever feel like God put your destiny on "Loading..."? Let’s talk.
*Point 1 - God’s Clock ≠ Your Clock* - 1 min
*Daniel 2:21* - God changes times and seasons. Joseph: dream at 17, palace at 30. 13 years gap. Your delay is not denial. It’s development. Lagos to Berger is 20 mins at 5am, 2 hours at 7am. Same road. Different time.
*Point 2 - Every Season Has Work* - 1.5 min
*Eccl 3:2* - Time to plant, time to harvest. You can’t harvest during planting. David was anointed at 17 but became king at 30. Wilderness was his classroom. If you’re waiting, don’t waste. Paul wrote letters in prison. Learn skill. Serve. Pray. Grow.
*Point 3 - Stop Comparing Seasons* - 1.5 min
*John 21:21-22* - Peter: "What about John?" Jesus: "What’s that to you? Follow Me." Corn grows in 3 months. Cocoa takes 5 years. Both feed nations. Your season will come. *Gal 6:9* - "In due season we will reap, IF we don’t give up."
*Close - 1 min:*
Your job: Discern your season and do the work of THAT season. Noah built in dry season. Esther fasted in her season. Ask God: "What season am I in?" Then obey. When your time comes, 13 years can turn to 1 day. Altar call: Drop your clock, pick up His calendar.

*2. FULL NOTES WITH ILLUSTRATIONS FOR SUNDAY SERVICE*
*Title:* Understanding Times and Seasons
*Key Text:* Ecclesiastes 3:1-11, Daniel 2:21, Galatians 6:9
*Duration:* 25-30 mins
*I. INTRODUCTION - The Lagos Illustration*
Life is like Third Mainland Bridge. Same bridge, different experience depending on _time_. At 5am: worship session. At 6pm: prayer and fasting. Time changes everything. Many Christians are frustrated not because God failed, but because they’re trying to harvest in planting season.
*II. BIBLICAL FOUNDATION*
1. *God Owns Time* - Dan 2:21, Psalm 31:15 "My times are in Your hands"
2. *God Made Seasons* - Gen 8:22 "Seedtime and harvest... shall not cease"
3. *God Reveals Seasons* - 1 Chron 12:32 "Sons of Issachar, who had understanding of the times"
*III. 4 TYPES OF SEASONS YOU MUST RECOGNIZE*
Season Purpose Danger Biblical Example
**Planting** Sowing, sacrifice, obscurity Comparing, quitting early Ruth gleaning, Jesus age 12-30
**Pruning** Cutting, discipline, loss Bitterness, offense Job, Joseph in prison
**Waiting** Trust, preparation, testing Anxiety, shortcuts Abraham 25 years, David in caves
**Harvest** Favor, results, elevation Pride, laziness Joseph as PM, Solomon as king
*IV. 3 MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE IN THEIR SEASON*
1. *Comparing* - John 21:21. Corn vs Cocoa illustration. Your timeline is custom.
2. *Complaining* - Israel in wilderness. They wanted Egypt’s food in God’s freedom season.
3. *Compromising* - Saul offered sacrifice before Samuel came. He rushed his season. 1 Sam 13:8-14
*V. HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR CURRENT SEASON*
1. *Discern it* - Ask: "Lord, what are You doing NOW in my life?"
2. *Do the work* - Planting? Sow. Pruning? Submit. Waiting? Serve. Harvest? Be grateful + generous.
3. *Declare it* - Hab 2:3 "Though it tarries, wait for it; it will surely come"
*ILLUSTRATIONS FOR CHURCH:*
1. *Popcorn Pot* - Kernels don’t pop until heat + time align. Pressure without time = burnt corn. Time without heat = hard corn. You need both.
2. *Pregnancy* - 9 months. Deliver at 3 months = tragedy. Deliver at 15 months = death. Due season matters.
3. *NEPA* - They take light when you’re ironing. But when light comes, iron moves fast. Your "light" season will make up for dark days.
*VI. ALTAR CALL / PRAYER*
"Father, I surrender my timetable. I repent for comparing. Teach me my season and give me grace to do the work of NOW. In my due season, let me reap. In Jesus name."
*BENEDICTION:* May the God who changes times and seasons bring you into your harvest at the appointed time. Amen.
