Liquid restaking platform EigenLayer is temporarily removing the old staking limit per protocol.

This morning (February 6),OwnLayercontinue to raise the ceiling for depositing LST tokens into the platform. Accordingly, each category is allowed to retake up to 200,000 new tokens. The time to participate in this activity lasts from today until February 9.

At the same time, EigenLayer also introduced 3 moreliquid stakingNew tokens (LST), including sfrxETH (Frax Finance), mETH (Mantle) and LsETH (Liquid Collective).

After two hours of extending the restaking limit, more than 1 million Ethereum (ETH) flowed into the platform, bringing EigenLayer's cumulative TVL to 3 billion USD. To date, EigenLayer's TVL is at the $3.2 billion mark, an increase of $1 billion in just the past 24 hours.

Restakingis a rising trend, with the idea of ​​reusing staked ETH, to apply it to other platforms such as Data Availability (with the EigenDA product branch) and newly established network authentication (through AVSs). Despite its simple mechanism, staking is bringing significant capital efficiency and helping users access DeFi more easily.
