Being dismissive can be very abusive. It’s invalidating who you are and what is important to you. When a person dismisses your wants, needs, your boundaries, your goals together and apart, your dreams, and especially your opinion and feelings. They are pretty much telling you, you have no value, you don’t deserve respect and are simply insignificant in their world. Invalidation is one of the worst forms of abuse. It can make a person feel completely worthless.
True love does not bind you in restrictions or fear, but liberates you; of someone’s affection becomes a cage, then it was never love to begin with.
full offense but if I openly communicate the ways that your actions and words have hurt me and you choose to ignore my truth because it challenges you. I want feel bad for removing you. I don’t have time for immaturity, manipulation, projection or passive behavior, believe that.
