Buhari: I have done well; do you agree with him?
Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret. ), the president, claimed on Tuesday that his administration had performed "extremely well" given the scant resources at its disposal.
After opening the Owerri-Orlu Road, phase one of the Owerri-Okigwe Road, and the state House of Assembly complex renovated by the administration of the state governor, Hope Uzodimma, the President addressed a stakeholders' meeting at the Imo State Government House in Owerri, the state capital.
Despite having few resources at his disposal, he claimed that his administration was able to do a lot “This administration has done extremely well. I had to say it because those who are supposed to say it are not doing so. I don’t know why,” the President said.
He praised his administration for driving out Boko Haram militants in the North East and addressing infrastructure degeneration, which he claimed to have inherited from the Peoples Democratic Party's administration in 2015.
He applauded Uzodimma for inviting him to launch initiatives carried out by his administration for the second time in a calendar year.
He committed to continuing to support all states, regardless of their political allegiances, and to provide infrastructure resources.
According to him, the federal government will continue to assist the Imo State administration to make sure that it continues to give the people the benefits of democracy.
As a citizen of Nigeria, do you think the president has done well as claimed?
