American wrestling or SmackDown is actually a kind of sport, but it can also be performed on television for show purposes. Although these shows, which are accepted as a branch of sports, contain fighting elements, they are prepared as shows because they consist of fake movements.

According to many people, American wrestling is considered a show and the word "fake" is not preferred. Many wrestling moves can cause real pain and result in injury if performed incorrectly. The outcome and general course of matches are predetermined. Generally, matches take place between wrestlers with good characters, known as faces, and bad guys, known as heels. A wrestler can become both a good guy and a bad guy throughout his career, depending on the stories. The biggest federations are WWE and TNA.
