The day I lost my money online

I’ll never forget that day.

It was a Tuesday evening. I had just received my salary. ₦40,000.
3 months of saving. Money for rent, food, and to help my family.

Then I saw the post: "Invest ₦20,000 today. Get ₦100,000 in 7 days. 100% guaranteed."

My heart jumped. "This is it. This is my breakthrough."

I prayed about it. I even told myself "God will protect me."
So I sent the money.

7 days passed.
No alert.
No message.
They blocked me everywhere.

That night I sat on my bed and just stared at the wall.
I didn’t cry. I was too empty to cry.

But in that silence, God spoke to me.
He said: "Daughter, don’t chase miracles. Build something."

That loss broke me... but it also built me.

Here are 3 lessons I learned:

1. Desperation makes you blind
When you need money too badly, you’ll believe any lie. Calm down first. Think.

2. Skills pay better than schemes
After that day I started learning how to write. No one can "block" my writing. No one can run away with it. It’s mine.

3. Your pain can become someone’s lesson
I’m sharing this so YOU won’t fall for the same trap. If it’s too good to be true, it’s a scam. Invest in yourself first.

Today I’m not rich yet. But I’m wiser. I’m working. And I’m no longer afraid.

If you’ve lost money online before, you’re not stupid. You’re human.
Pick yourself up. Let’s grow together.
