Writing, Culture, and Blockchain

My name is Emanuel Souza. I am a writer with a master’s degree in psychology, working between literature, research, and critical analysis. I write fiction and essays, publish books in Portuguese, and develop poetic collections that also exist as NFTs.

My background is grounded in long-form writing and research. I am part of GIF Labs, a research group connected to UFOP (Federal University of Ouro Preto), where interdisciplinary work across psychology, philosophy, digital culture, and emerging technologies informs my approach. This context shapes a method focused on structure, process, and interpretation, rather than immediacy or spectacle.

Here, I publish texts that move across different registers while maintaining a clear focus on political and economic analysis of the global landscape, with particular attention to the impacts of crypto and blockchain technologies. These systems are approached as cultural and geopolitical infrastructures, not merely technical innovations.

Alongside this, I follow developments in the global art scene and in onchain artistic practices, observing how narratives, markets, and technologies intersect. The aim is to situate blockchain within broader cultural, economic, and artistic contexts, using writing as a tool for analysis.
