Bitcoin and priorities
Good morning/evening
Yes people it is that time of the year again, escaping the 40+ degree temperature of Eastern Europe for the slightly cooler UK temperatures. It seems like I do this yearly trip and then write an article and moan about the UK lol. So it is nice to catch up with some of the family.......Did anyone notice I wrote some and not all! Anyway this as a side note this also annoyed me, I wanted a new Ledger Flex, and went to the official page to find this. So the UK is going backwards then!
The Rabbit hole
So l have previously written about how being involved in Bitcoin and crypto has sent me down the rabbit hole as in the type of things that are of interest now, in as much as I never followed US Politics, I was never interested in the macro events as they were just not relevant to me, now it is different, what are the SEC doing? (I did not even know about the SEC!) What has fed chair Powell got to say? (I never used to know who The Federal reserve chairman was, now I watch to see what he is going to say!) So to say Bitcoin is life changing is an understatement and not just for financial freedom. Your eyes get opened to how wealth is really generated and things that were un important are suddenly the only things you are interested in.
Things have changed
Now Bitcoin has also changed the way I allocate, or spend money, something just changed.....You could say I saw the light. There was the time in the jewellery shop when my husband asked if I would like anything, my reply was no, we can buy more Bitcoin instead, we consider if something is important or necessary now, before we would just buy it. Not to say life can't be fun being in crypto, we have taken profits to buy a car, we have put some profits aside to fund a bucket list trip to Japan and the husband would like to get a mini digger, also with profits which still leaves us more to re invest than we started with. It hardly seems possible and sometimes I am still shocked by it all, so although we have put aside funds for these things, I still plan on buying more Bitcoin during the bear market and hope to achieve, always accumulating more than I started with as well as taking profits along the way.
Now what I have noticed and I am not sure if it is because I don't see so much of this in Eastern Europe or because I am in crypto but some of my family have different priorities, but each to their own eh! and my response to all is the same.
Priorities
Look, the whole family has personalised number plates for their cars, even our daughter who is not old enough to drive yet has one.
I have Bitcoin
Have you seen my new top of the range BMW
I have Bitcoin
We had a lovely time at the new artisan bar even though 2 gin and tonics were £50 or just over $68 at the time of writing, really WTF sort of Gin was that!
I have Bitcoin
Do you like my new trainers? they were £700 or just over $955... I like my Sketchers thanks they are comfortable lol!
I have Bitcoin
Have you watched this on Amazon or any number of streaming apps or music apps, (I do have Netflix but 1 is enough, I don't feel the need to have all of them)
I have Bitcoin
So this list could go on and on and yet the members of my family that know what I do still think I am the crazy one.
To conclude
No, my car is not a Lambo, but it suits my needs, I don't eat caviar but that could be because I don't like it, I live a life that I am happy with but learning about investing and Bitcoin has changed my life in many ways and I would not change a thing. OK so that is not quite true, there are a few ALTS that I probably shouldn't have bought, but most of us have got a shitcoin or two in our portfolio's
So what do you think? Has investing and Bitcoin changed the way you look at things? Have you learnt about things you never even thought about before? Did you go down the rabbit hole?
As always thank you for reading and please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
