How to be more positive

30 Aug 2022

How can we maintain positivity in our lives? I started by talking about practicing gratitude in my former article and I will add more tips to that.

Even if you're not in a good mood, forcing a smile will likely improve your mood. Your brain releases feel-good and calming chemicals when you smile. Researchers have discovered that smiling not only promotes positive feelings but also shifts people's perspectives to a more optimistic one.
Therefore, the next time you're having a bad day, try smiling for a while to see if it makes you feel better.

Positive Self Talk
The things you say to yourself affect how you perceive both yourself and the outside world, and self-criticism is sure to impair your capacity for optimism. Researchers have discovered that changing from negative to positive self-talk can enhance feelings and lessen stress.

Savor Anticipation
Every day, find something to look forward to. According to research, having something enjoyable to anticipate elevates mood and lowers stress.
Find something to look forward to every day, whether it's going to your favorite store, having coffee with your friends, going for a stroll in the park in the evening, or reading your favorite book. Even when things don't go your way, this will help you maintain your positive attitude.
