As mentioned in our Training Day blog, the five winners first met with the Binance team in Lisbon, the City of Seven Hills. The Cristiano Ronaldo experience didn’t just start on the pitch, and our five guests were shown the ins and outs of Portugal’s capital prior to meeting him.
“[The Binance Team] easily made us feel welcome although we were all, at first, strangers,” explained Larry. “They showed us the local food people enjoy and made sure our trip was full of nice, extra touches.”

The moment of truth arrived the next day - CR7 finally stepped onto the field to begin the training session. For Eugene, "Seeing Cristiano walking in was surreal. I've always seen him command the field on TV, but being within a handshake's distance was a feeling unlike any other!"
Cristiano’s personality and warmth soon relieved any nervousness from our winners, and they were ready to begin their training session. "Cristiano was fully present with us, actively guiding us through the drills.” mentioned Larry eagerly. “His dedication to teaching us, even though we were beginners, was completely genuine, and we could all feel it.”
For Chaochi, Cristiano’s hands-on approach to coaching has made a real difference to his skills too.

“We had two chances to take a penalty when training.The first time I took it, it wasn't that great of a shot. So then Cristiano came and coached me on how to improve, and he actually taught me how to do it better the next time."

Eugene took the chance to ask CR7 about his plans off the pitch as a player in the future. “I asked him if he would consider a managerial role in the future after he retires from professional football, as it’s always been on my mind!”
