The Market Woman at 12am 🌙
For one village, there was a market that only opened at `Ezi abalị`. 12am sharp.
Nobody knew who owned it. But if you needed something urgently at night - medicine, food, even phone charger - you’d go there.
One day, Chisom’s baby was sick. Fever. 11:55pm.
Her husband said: `Make we go that night market. Dem dey sell Panadol there.`
They got there 12:00am. The market was bright. People were buying and selling like it was afternoon.
There was one woman selling everything. She never smiled. She just said: `What do you need?`
*Chisom:* `Panadol for baby. I meela. Please.`
*Woman:* `Pay and go. Don’t look back.`
Chisom bought it and ran home. The baby got better by `Ezi ụtụtụ`.
The next night, Chisom was curious. She went back with her friend to see the market again. 12am.
The place was dark. Empty. Bush. Nothing.
Her friend: `Chisom, which market? There’s nothing here.`
Chisom got scared. She remembered the woman said "don’t look back".
From that day, anytime someone is sick at night, elders will say: `Pray first. If you must go to that market, go with faith and don’t look back. Some help comes from places we don’t understand.`
*Moral:* Sometimes help comes at `Ezi abalị` in strange ways. Take it with gratitude and say `Daalu`. Don’t question it too much.
