🔵 Hey Dear #Web3Community!
We’re excited to continue our deep dive into the capabilities that our partner @OasisProtocol brings to Web3 gamers!
💫
This time, we’re focusing on Oasis Sapphire’s cross-chain interoperability. 🤠

Privacy is crucial for gaming, especially for puzzle or strategy games.
🎮🕹
Ever played Wordle? The addictive word game that went viral and was later purchased by the New York Times?
There is a blockchain version of this game called Wordleish.
👀2/11 🧵
🎲 The objective of Wordleish is to guess the five-letter secret word using feedback from successive guesses–colored tiles indicate when letters and their locations match the solution.
Wordleish enables players to compete to solve these puzzles on-chain. 🧩
3/11 🧵
Building Wordleish on a traditional EVM network has important limitations,
taking all the fun out of the competition! 🌌
4/11 🧵
First, if we store the solution to the puzzle in on-chain storage, it’s not actually secret–anyone can spoil the game by simply querying the contract’s public storage. 🌐🔗
5/11 🧵
In addition, because transactions are completely public, when a player submits a transaction containing the correct answer, they are vulnerable to getting “frontrun” by other players. 👾🕹
6/11 🧵
🔥 @OasisProtocol’s Sapphire runtime solves both of these problems through private smart contract state and encrypted transactions.
But what about existing games and dApps that could also benefit from on-chain privacy? 🥷
7/11 🧵
Sapphire can also be used to add confidentiality to existing dApps on all popular EVM networks as a privacy layer. ✅🌊
By leveraging the @OasisProtocol Privacy Layer (OPL), any dApp on any EVM chain can harness Sapphire’s features (including us!)
8/11 🧵
Transactions on Sapphire require gas fees to be paid in @OasisProtocol’s native token (ROSE)🪙To ensure a seamless user experience, a gas relayer can be used to forward users’ signed messages to Sapphire and avoid the need for end users to acquire ROSE to pay for gas.⛽️
9/11🧵
In other words, the entire flow can completed with only one extra click by the user (to approve payment to the gas relayer in ETH/USDT/etc.) ✅
This is a game-changer for dApps across Web3, thanks to @OasisProtocol 😎
10/11 🧵
🟦 Sapphire is the key building block of the Oasis Privacy Layer for Web3 that can be leveraged by all EVM chains and dApps. 🔗
We look forward to supporting @OasisProtocol's gaming ecosystem by leveraging Sapphire to build new, on-chain experiences! 🔥
