The tech world is going through a massive shift right now, and AMD is right in the middle of it. At the moment, the stock is sitting at 455.19, which is just a tiny bit away from its all time high of 456.29. For those of us keeping an eye on the charts, the most mind blowing part isn't just the price it’s the momentum. AMD has delivered a massive 347.58% return over the last year, proving it’s becoming a real beast in the market.
Looking at the trading data, things are heating up. The volume is hitting over 58 million, which is way higher than the usual 10 day average. This basically means the big players are still buying in. Also, with a short interest of only 2.20%, it looks like most traders have realized that betting against Lisa Su and the AMD team isn't a great idea right now.

The Road to $100 Billion
So, why is the price so high? It all comes down to what’s coming next. By 2028, AMD’s sales are expected to hit $100.10 billion that’s nearly double where they are today.

We’re also seeing their profits take off. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) is projected to jump from 7.33 to 17.80 by 2028. As a trader, I love seeing the Forward P/E ratio drop from 55.7x down to around 22.9x in these forecasts. Usually, when a stock grows this fast, it gets too expensive to touch, but since AMD’s earnings are growing so quickly, the valuation actually starts looking better the longer you hold it.

AI Hype and Solid Cash Flow
The real secret sauce here is their data center business, which is being fueled by the massive demand for AI. If you check out the revenue breakdown, the Data Center and Gaming sectors are the heavy hitters, with the US and China being their biggest markets.

Their balance sheet also explains how they’re moving so fast. Their free cash flow and cash reserves spiked a lot in 2025. This gives AMD plenty of dry powder to keep out-innovating everyone else in the chip race.

Technical View All Eyes on Resistance
Technically, the breakout from that $270 support zone was the big turning point. Since April, the price has been climbing almost vertically. But a quick heads up for anyone trading this the RSI and Stochastic indicators are looking pretty overbought right now (hitting 80 and 99).

Even though the long term trend is super bullish, we might see a small pullback or a breather before the next big move toward $500.

Final Thoughts
AMD isn't just an alternative choice anymore it’s a pillar of the AI era. With revenues set to double and profit margins growing, this bull run might just be getting started.

What do you think is it still a buy at these levels, or are you waiting for a dip?
