Why are you writing?

Sincere questions: What are you doing with your time in Bulb? Why are you writing? Do you believe you could make a living through writing?

Earning through writing has never been easy these days, with crypto powering the platforms. Are you trying to grab the bull by its horn? Its an opportunity to those who realized that. If this part of the industry take off in crypto, those who learnt how to ride this wave will be set for life!

I think the idea goes a very long way although the concept isn't strange and can be thought of as straight forward and simple. Behind the scenes is another thing in itself. The amount of time going back and forth in between ideas, proof-reading, putting in reference, conveying phrase the best way possible. I have to say, its a lot of work in one go. But the beauty of writing is that when you read it back, you felt like you have found something in you that you never knew you had before. I still feel the same way today.

Back when I started writing, I remembered writing long a$$ essays and made up stories that if I were to read back again I would be embarrassed to death. I by no mean am better than when I left the space a year ago I admit. But the little inner writer in me is knocking the door for more. Somehow writing has become a habit, both with pencil and a keyboard. I write even when I don't have any connection to the internet. I just took my worn out pen and write out the idea for the next topic I want to explore.

The ideal Situation we are in

Fast forward to today, it made me think it is no better time to start cultivating this habit if you are into writing. There are A.I tools that could help you generate some ideas of what to write - god forbid you copy pasted those though. It's just too boooring to read - I find any of my school days text books are ways more interesting than that generic piece of cr*p. lol. Look, I get it, A.Is are cool. But it can't replace you 100% as a writer, no matter how much data you feed to it. The A.Is are just lacking something, and that is a soul. If you are a writer, you know what I mean. Nothing beats a writer's soul - one that you could find in many good reads even here in BULB!

I'll be honest with you guys though, life has been rough for the past years with some of my beloved family members passing away. I have been looking for a way to vent those feeling and I wrote most of them down on papers. When I open back my crypto chest to check how they are doing, I stumbled upon this project after a good friend of mine from Torum (Another crypto social platform) recommendations. I have to say @HattyHats you deserved this shout out my G. Bulb has once again sparked that interest in me. God damnit Bulb is too good of a platform to pass up the opportunity - pardon my language. I love writing, socializing in crypto, reading, learning, and this platform has it all.

Bear this in mind, there are thousands on top of thousands of people out there who have not found this platform yet. Who are similar to you and me. Another reason to be excited yes? Because there will be more people to learn from. People to connect with. And they are on their way here, one way or another.

I can't speak for everyone, but personally, the reason why I write is to vent. As you can see in few of my writings. I write as I think, and most of the time, the filters are off. I think that it is better that way as I would like to be as genuine as I can be with my reader. Writing is after all a window smacked right in the middle of an author and a reader. You could see who I am as a person and friend. And I could see who you are if you comment on my writings. Most are spammers anyway, some just want the bulb point, but nonetheless still people. With different way of thinking about things. Personally for me, Bulb is a good platform and as A tier project - It gives you voice, and it gives you chance to earn for that time wisely spent.

More so than to vent, it is to share my view on the current state of the world through my pair of eyes. I love to observe, and it is in my nature since I was a kid. Somehow that habit did not died off and it become my trade in work, hobby and everything else.

I especially love reading those who write with heart. It shows passion within the subject, and probably the only way I would know if someone truly love and understand what they write about. I think I should write that way too, I said to myself when I started to write years ago. My english, is sadly not my first language and it quickly became the first hurdle I have to go through. Although my comprehension level is not that low, I still fail to convey my true feelings through writing sometimes. I did struggle for awhile when I start, with my shyness, fear of being wrong, and the fear of being laugh at. What's to fear anyway, even duds are making a living by streaming their stupidity online. Why couldn't you?

If you still are struggling in Bulb this is for you:

Bulb blogging platform is constantly evolving - its a product that improves over time. So give it a chance and make the best out of it. You may love to read, then you want to filter your followings to cater your need. Ask some question in comment section if there are things you want more explanation to. Treat this space as knowledge mine, because it is. In future, we could access this platform through mobile and plus that with thread function, learning can't be more easier in crypto. Give @BULB Official account a follow to learn about their updates first hand.

This is do to earn. What that mean is that you have to do something to be able to earn. Some people can't earn because they don't take the time to learn how to blog. They can't care enough to curate their content thoughtfully and end up copying chatgpt. You could treat your blog posts as your diary and write down what you feel about certain thing and save those in draft. You could go back, insert some context and image. Then publish after it meets your satisfaction. I didn't use Chatgpt to generate this article, did you notice? :D (Too many grammar errors, that's one big giveaway)

As this space is still evolving, there are some known bugs. Be patience is all, and what rewards you the best is being patience. Report the bugs - it could take a very long time before the devs could see your report as I'm sure there are many reports in que. The devs are human just like me and you. Join our discord to get some help if you are looking for solutions to your problem. Someone else might have gone through what you are going through right now - what's the community is for after all yeah? Join our discord group for fun times: Bulb Discord group

You could stake your tokens! Why not right? If you are not planning to sell your tokens anytime, just stake them for some good chunks of returns based on how much is spent in the platform for that specific calendar week time. Learn about the staking with @Investigator515's article here: Bulbapp - The stake to earn model.

If you have no time to spend for writing, you could actually earn by staking your bulb tokens in the pool. You could also opt to add to the liquidity pool for future airdrop by Meteora. You could stake here: This is a link. I suggest you give the article written by @MBA ChitChat : Liquidity pool version 3 (DLMM) for dummies if you want to know more.

My so call valuable insights

I can go on and on. But, my point is a little patience in this space goes a very long way. Especially if you are trying to learn how to blog. You could create an account in Publish0x to post your writing as it does not cost you any energy to post content. You could also post your content here, but if you put in a generic chatgpt A.I content here, you'll get reported for that and that is going to ruin your account. I'd say that is not worth it.

After spending roughly 6 months in Bulb I found out that if you give this project a little bit of your time, you will be surprised at how much you could potentially get. From knowledge and earning, one way or another, its pure profit. Because this space gives you the ability to earn for free. Well, not free anymore due to that 2.5K bulb token paywall, but in comparison to other project, 2.5K bulb isn't much. Unless you are trying to spam this space then feel free to ignore what I just wrote. But do tell, why do you write?

If you reach this line, thanks for taking your time to read this write up. It is much appreciated! As always, I'll see you in the next one.
