AR Platform Really to Upgrade Entertainment Using Avalanche
Really, a platform delivering weekly Augmented Reality (AR) experiences for theatrical release movies, aims to enhance these AR experiences for the entertainment industry by leveraging Avalanche's fast, scalable blockchain in new offerings. The offerings include an upgrade to the Really Collectible Ticket Program and new fan engagement for moviegoers around the world
More broadly, by harnessing Web3 using Avalanche, Really aims to introduce new ways for studios, brands, and theater partners to engage with audiences worldwide.
Really has connected AR experiences through its multi-channel platform, making its content available across many outlets, including iOS and Android mobile apps, WebAR, social platforms, and it’s SDK directly integrated in the Regal Cinemas App in the USA. Integrating with Avalanche expands the possibilities.
The first Avalanche-powered new release is “Fandime,” a now-live rewards and collectibles app giving fans a wide-ranging interface for engaging with entertainment. On the app, on-chain records show proof of movie attendance, fan engagement with marketing, app games played, and purchases. Fans can use Fandime to access their engagement data and unlock rewards and live digital events.
Really has found an audience before its Web3 entry. Prior to integrating with Avalanche, Really users have claimed over 4 million unique AR Collectibles across some 200 wide-release movies via its partnership with Regal Cinemas, including The Marvels, Napoleon, Trolls Band Together, Killers of The Flower Moon, Wish, and Saltburn. With Avalanche, fans will get even more from the platform.
“Imagine if you could take your old box of ticket stubs, plug them into a computer, and unlock rewards and custom content based on the makeup of your collection,” says James Andrew Felts, CEO Really. “That’s exactly what we’ve built for fans and we could not have done it without this groundbreaking partnership and support from Avalanche.”’
"We're excited to help bring Web3-enhanced entertainment to millions with AR pioneer Really,” said John Nahas, VP of Business Development at Ava Labs. “The introduction of upcoming blockchain-powered offerings and Proof-of-Attendance collectibles fuses leading tech and entertainment in a groundbreaking way. Movie fans will benefit from elevated, easy-to-access, better cinema experiences.”
“Our mission at Really is to give brands, studios and theaters a way to leverage the intersection of web3 and spatial storytelling to create next gen customer experiences – both online and IRL,” Felts added.
