MU's right wing is not working well, so the Old Trafford team is desperately looking for a quality star to play in this position.
After more than a year coming to MU, Antony still has not shown the desired performance. The Brazilian star's contribution is too limited compared to the £85.5 million fee that the Old Trafford team spent to recruit him. After 62 appearances in all competitions, Antony only had 8 goals and 3 assists.

This makes it difficult for MU's right wing to launch an attack. According to The Sun, Coach Ten Hag was aware of that, so he sent scouts to Spain 7 times to watch Japanese star Takefusa Kubo.

Kubo was previously signed by Real Madrid in 2019, but he has never played for "Los Blancos" in official tournaments. The Spanish Royal Team continuously pushed players born in 2001 to Mallorca, Villarreal and Getafe on loan. Up to now, Kubo is on Real Sociedad's payroll when the team bought him from Real Madrid in the 2022 summer transfer window for a fee of 5.5 million pounds.

When coming to Real Sociedad, Kubo continuously improved. He scored 15 goals and had 13 assists in 67 matches for this team. The Japanese player can play on both the right wing and the number 10 position.

In the 2023 summer transfer window, Kubo once caught the "eye" of Napoli. However, the Naples team only accepted to pay 26 million pounds in exchange for the Japanese star's services, so Real Sociedad immediately refused.

Kubo's contract still runs until the summer of 2027, so Real Sociedad is asking for £43 million. This number is not too large, only about half of what MU spent to buy Antony. Therefore, the "Red Devils" can completely spend money to recruit Kubo right in the winter transfer window of 2024. Even the red half of Manchester is ready to consider the option of letting Antony go to Real Sociedad on loan to "" lubricated" the recruitment of Kubo.
