India has changed a lot under the current govt in 9 years.
Though international woke community and far left groups hate India for whatever they do in their land. Like they go to moon, hate them, they not supporting Ukraine hate them, they not being friends with palestine hate them. They ban the rogue coins, rogue exchanges like binance without license, hate them. Now they are adopting blockchain new hate comes out. You can hate India, you can hate the hindus, but the talent pool, results, growth, intelligence of that nation is here to stay.
So I thought why not cover this topic to bring clarity.
India has regulated approach towards blockchain. They ditched the decentralized projects and DeFi but adopted the regulated approach after viewing the progress of other nations, they adopted the blockchain. Most of the India's blockchain projects are proudly on the Hyperledger, Ethereum and the Polygon.
They are more open towards the Bitcoin, Ethereum than Garry Gensler in the SEC. In fact Polygon's owners being from the India itself has helped the govt more than anything. As some of the documentation hosting on the chain has been happening due to such talent pool.
You can check out the Blockchain Govt Portal here
India and some of it's states are testing out the uploading of the legacy documents on the chain. These chains are private and side chains of the Hyperledger, Ethereum and Polygon. So the layer 2 for the govt work is in action here. There are more than 8M documents out there in the blockchain. Some of the documents are in the category of tax collection, logistics, legal, certificates, documents and property claims. This would be making the growth easier for the blockchain adoption in India once more and more states in the nation adopt their own strategy for hosting the legacy documents on the chain.
Adopting the strategy of taking data on the chain. And having a proof for the documents so that the tampering is controlled is a good move. This way a lot of local issues can be handled on document tampering and change of the data. This is what the document ledger system on blockchain was designed for in the past and the govt adopting this would be a good move.
Considering Polygon, Hyperledger and Ethereum chain development is happening in india along with the private chains of the govt. I am sure in near future this would definitely build the better future for the blockchain adoption of the govt.
