Inzaghi has now been Inter coach for two and a half years.
Things have not gone perfectly for the 47-year-old former Lazio coach by any means.
The failure to win the Serie A title to date is the most glaring blot on Inzaghi’s copybook.
But at the same time, the team have secured five trophies already. And that is before taking into consideration the fact that Inter reached last season’s Champions League final.
The Nerazzurri have also done so playing some very stylish football.
That was certainly on show in the recent Supercoppa Italiana. Particularly in an emphatic 3-0 win against Lazio in the semifinal.
Now Inter will have to apply that same kind of football to their league concerns.
And the Nerazzurri and Inzaghi will perhaps also have to reach down and find new reserves of grit, determination, and the ability to be absolutely consistent from week to week.
That is because they are neck and neck with Juventus at the top of the Serie A table.
The Bianconeri went a point ahead of Inter last weekend by beating Lecce. However, the Nerazzurri have what could be a crucial game in hand.
And the two sides meet directly at the San Siro in just a little over a week.

Raoul Savoy: Simone Inzaghi The Best Coach In The World

Central African Republic coach Savoy told FCIN that “I like coaches who take risks.”
“And what Inzaghi has done with Inter has been brilliant.” he continued.
“They’re working very well.”
“Without much heralding, he took Inter to the Champions League final,” Savoy noted.
Savoy argued that “That’s easy to do if you’re Guardiola and you can sign whoever you want.”
“However, it’s difficult to achieve this with other players.”
Asked if he thinks that Inzaghi is the best coach in the world, Savoy replied “For me, yes.”
“Guardiola and Klopp come to mind for most people,” the coach continued.
“But I also appreciate Inzaghi for how he communicates.”
“He’s calm, discreet. He doesn’t constantly say that he’s the best in the world.”
As far as whether he thinks that Inter play the best football in Italy and some of the best in Europe, Savoy said “For me, yes. Absolutely.”
The Central African coach also gave his thoughts on Inter’s title rivals Juventus.
“In today’s world, results are what count,” Savoy observed.
“But for me, I like it when teams can achieve results with a certain quality and mentality.”
