Fort is steady
*“The Fort is Steady, Sir”*
I’m doing well, Steve. Thank you for checking in.
Over here, it’s like the main actor stepped out and the supporting cast is holding the stage. Your chair has been empty since you left, but your voice is still in the room. Every time something tricky comes up, someone says “what would Oga do?” and we figure it out. Your instructions are our script.
Lagos is playing nice too. The sun is bright but not angry, and the traffic decided to be a gentleman this week. I think even the city knows you’re away and doesn’t want to add stress. I’ve been keeping the files, the calls, and the team in line. Yesterday the client asked for the update you left, and I told them “Oga has eyes everywhere, even from far.” They laughed and said we’re in safe hands.
I hope you’re doing well over there too. I hope your trip was smooth, your bed is soft, and your food is tasting like home. Travel takes a lot out of a person, so rest first. Work can wait.
We’re holding the fort here. No panic, no drama. Just steady hands until you’re back to take the lead again.
Take care of yourself, sir. We’re waiting for your signal when you’re settled.
