If you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for simple ways to earn a bit of extra money without too much effort. I’ve tested out a lot of apps over the years, and honestly, most of them aren’t worth the time. But every now and then, you come across one that actually delivers on its promises. That’s how I feel about Scrambly, a walk-to-earn app that’s become one of my favorites.

In this article, I’m going to break down what Scrambly is, who created it, how it works, and most importantly, how much you can actually earn from it. I’m making around $3 a month just from walking, and while that might not sound like much, it’s literally free money for something I’m already doing every day.

What Is Scrambly?

Scrambly is a mobile rewards app that pays you to complete various tasks like playing games, testing apps, taking surveys, and here’s the best part, walking. It’s what I’d call a multi-reward platform, meaning you’re not limited to just one way of earning. But for me, the walk-to-earn feature is what really sets it apart.
The app connects to your phone’s built-in step counter or fitness tracker (like Apple Health or Google Fit), and as you go about your day, it tracks your steps and rewards you with points. These points, called Wards, can be redeemed for PayPal cash, gift cards from major retailers like Amazon and Visa, or even in-app bonuses.

One of my favorite things about Scrambly is how passive it is. You don’t have to think about it, just keep your phone on you, hit your daily step goals, and watch the rewards add up. Plus, the app has a low payout threshold of just $1, so you’re not waiting months to cash out like with some other reward apps. The only thing you need to do is to remember to check the app at the end of each day to claim your rewards. So I guess we will call this a semi passive oppurtunity.

Who Created Scrambly?

Scrambly was founded in October 2022 by Alexander Hrankin who is the CEO and Illia Frantsevskyi who is the CTO and co-founder. The company is officially registered as Scrambly S.r.l. and is based in Bologna, Italy.
Alexander Hrankin has a background in mobile marketing and user acquisition, having previously worked as Director of Strategic Partnerships at MYAPPFREE. Illia Frantsevskyi brings the technical expertise as CTO. Together, they built Scrambly as a mobile-first marketing platform designed to help app and game companies reach new audiences through rewarded advertising, while giving users like us a way to earn real money in the process.
The platform has grown quickly since its launch. As of now, Scrambly claims to have over 1.2 million members who have collectively earned more than $3 million. It’s available in the US, Germany, Japan, and South Korea, with plans to expand to more countries in the future.
The company has a solid reputation, with a 4.4 out of 5 stars rating on Trustpilot based on over 8,500 user reviews. They’re transparent about their operations, and users have consistently reported receiving payouts as promised.

How Does Scrambly Work?

Using Scrambly is incredibly straightforward.

Download the App and Sign Up

https://go.scrambly.io/bURMbS
Scrambly is available on both Android and iOS. Just download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, create an account, and you’re ready to go.

Connect Your Step Tracker

To start earning from your steps, you’ll need to connect the app to your phone’s built-in step counter or a fitness tracker like Apple Health, Google Fit, or Samsung Health. The app uses your phone’s accelerometer and gyroscope to detect your movement patterns and count your steps.

Start Walking (Or Just Living Your Life)

Every time you hit a daily step goal, Scrambly rewards you with points. For example, if you walk 10,000 steps a day, you’ll earn 40 Scrambly coins. These coins can be redeemed for cash or gift cards once you hit the minimum payout threshold.

Daily Rewards

Each day you log in you can claim your daily streak. At the top right by your balance you will see a flame and a number. Right now I am on day 5. Two more days and I will earn 500 coins.
The more days you log in and claim your streak the more you will earn.

Redeem Your Rewards

Once you’ve accumulated at least $1 worth of coins (1,000 coins = $1), you can cash out via PayPal, Visa, Amazon gift cards, or other options.
Payouts are usually processed within a day or two, which is pretty fast compared to other reward apps.

Bonus Earning Opportunities

Beyond walking, Scrambly offers a ton of other ways to earn, including playing mobile games, completing surveys, testing finance and shopping apps, and more. Each task has different reward levels, with some offers paying anywhere from $5 to $30+ depending on how much needs to be done.

How Much Can You Earn?

Let’s be real here, you’re not going to get rich using Scrambly. But that’s not the point. The beauty of this app is that it rewards you for things you’re already doing.

I personally earn around $3 a month just from walking. That might not sound like a lot, but considering I’m not doing anything extra, just carrying my phone with me throughout the day. It’s honestly free money. And over the course of a year, that’s $36 I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

According to Scrambly’s FAQ and various user reviews, earnings can range anywhere from $5 to $200+ per month, depending on how much time and effort you put in. Most users who only use the walking feature earn around $2 to $5 per month, which aligns pretty closely with my experience. If you’re willing to dive into the gaming offers and surveys, you can definitely earn more, some dedicated users report making $200 to $500 per month.

But here’s the thing, the walking feature alone makes it worth it for me. I’m not interested in grinding through mobile games or spending hours on surveys. I just want something easy and passive, and that’s exactly what Scrambly delivers.

Final Thoughts

If you’re someone who walks regularly, whether it’s to work, around your neighborhood, or just doing errands, I think Scrambly is absolutely worth downloading. It’s not going to replace your day job, but it’s a simple, easy way to earn a little extra cash for something you’re already doing.

I’m making about $3 a month just by keeping the app on my phone and going about my day. It’s one of those rare apps that actually delivers on what it promises, and I’ve had zero issues with getting paid.

Thanks for reading everyone. If you get a chance to check out Scrambly, I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Until next time!
