Gabriel Jesus(Part 1)

Gabriel Fernando de Jesus, born on April 3, 1997, is a Brazilian professional footballer renowned for his role as a forward. Currently, he plies his trade for the Premier League club Arsenal and represents the Brazil national team.
Jesus commenced his senior club career at Palmeiras, where he quickly made a mark. He was recognized as the Best Newcomer at the 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and played a pivotal role in Palmeiras clinching the Copa do Brasil title. His standout performances continued, and in 2016, he earned the prestigious Bola de Ouro award, contributing significantly to Palmeiras' first national league title victory in over two decades.

Jesus made a high-profile move to English giants Manchester City in a transfer deal valued at £27 million. During his tenure at Manchester City, he enjoyed tremendous success, winning four Premier League titles, three EFL Cups, and an FA Cup. However, in July 2022, he made a significant switch to Arsenal in a transfer deal worth £45 million.
On the international stage, Jesus has represented Brazil with distinction. He amassed 21 caps and scored 7 goals at the youth level, including notable achievements such as reaching the final of the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup and securing an Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Jesus made his senior debut for Brazil in September 2016 and has since been a key figure in the squad. He featured in the FIFA World Cup tournaments in 2018 and 2022, as well as in the Copa América competitions in 2019 and 2021, triumphing in the latter tournament.

Gabriel Fernando de Jesus, commonly known as Gabriel Jesus, embarked on his professional football journey with Palmeiras, signing a youth contract with the club on July 1, 2013. During his first year, he showcased his prolific goal-scoring abilities, netting an impressive 54 goals in 48 matches, establishing himself as a promising talent within the club.
In January 2014, after extensive negotiations, Jesus penned a three-year contract with Palmeiras, with the option to extend for an additional two years. As part of the agreement, his salary was set to increase significantly over the years, reaching four times the initial amount in the fifth year. Additionally, the buyout fee in his contract surged to R$30 million. However, this deal resulted in a shift in the balance of his economic rights, with Palmeiras holding 70% and his agents owning 30%.

The 2014 season saw Jesus continue his goal-scoring exploits, particularly in the state under-17 championship, where he notched an impressive 37 goals in 22 games. Despite his stellar performances, he had to wait until August 27, 2014, to be included in Palmeiras' senior squad, albeit as an unused substitute.
Jesus made his senior debut on March 7, 2015, in the Campeonato Paulista, marking the beginning of his professional career. He gradually became a regular feature in the squad, making notable contributions, including his first professional goal in the Copa do Brasil. His breakthrough season culminated in Palmeiras winning the national championship, with Jesus playing a pivotal role, scoring crucial goals and earning recognition as the league's Best Newcomer.

The following seasons further solidified Jesus' status as a rising star, with notable performances in both domestic and continental competitions. His goal-scoring prowess played a vital role in Palmeiras' success, leading them to victory in various tournaments, including the Copa Libertadores.
Jesus' time at Palmeiras was characterized by remarkable achievements and individual accolades, setting the stage for his subsequent move to Manchester City and later to Arsenal, where he continued to shine on the global stage.

Gabriel Jesus's journey in the Premier League began when he signed for Manchester City in January 2017, with a contract extending until the summer of 2021. The transfer, valued at £27 million/€33 million plus add-ons, was officially completed on January 19, 2017.
His debut in the Premier League came on January 21, 2017, as a substitute in a 2–2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur. Jesus showcased his talent in his first start for Manchester City on February 1, 2017, where he not only assisted a goal but also scored his debut goal for the club, becoming the first City player to achieve a goal and an assist in their first Premier League start.

In his fourth appearance, however, Jesus sustained a metatarsal injury in his right foot, sidelining him for a significant portion of the 2016–2017 Premier League season. Despite the setback, he made a comeback in April for the Manchester Derby, making a substitute appearance.
The following season, Jesus demonstrated his scoring prowess by netting several crucial goals for Manchester City, including his first Premier League goal of the 2017–2018 season against Bournemouth and a memorable performance with a brace against Liverpool.
Jesus faced a brief goal drought in late 2017 and early 2018 due to a knee medial ligament injury and admitted to struggling with the fear of reinjury. However, he bounced back and ended the season on a high note, scoring the last Premier League goal of the 2017–2018 season against Southampton, helping Manchester City secure a league record of 100 points.

Jesus signed a contract extension with Manchester City, committing to the club until 2023. He continued to make significant contributions, including a memorable performance in January 2019, where he scored four goals against Burton Albion in a 9–0 victory.
Jesus's impact extended beyond domestic competitions, as he played a crucial role in Manchester City's UEFA Champions League campaign. In August 2020, he played a pivotal role in the Champions League round of 16 tie against Real Madrid, scoring and assisting in both legs to secure Manchester City's spot in the quarter-finals.
His remarkable performances continued, as evidenced by his four-goal haul in a Premier League match against Watford in April 2022, marking his first Premier League hat-trick. Throughout his tenure at Manchester City, Gabriel Jesus showcased his talent and versatility, leaving a lasting impression on the Premier League and European football.
