Gunzilla Games Leverages Fireblocks to Elevate Blockchain Gaming Infrastructure
Gunzilla Games, a leading Web3 game studio and developer of the GUNZ blockchain, has announced a significant integration with Fireblocks, an enterprise platform renowned for its capabilities in building blockchain applications and managing digital asset operations. This strategic move marks a pivotal enhancement in Gunzilla’s blockchain infrastructure, promising to streamline asset management and bolster security for its growing user base.

Revolutionizing Asset Management for Institutional Holders
With this integration, institutional holders of GUN tokens and GUNZ Validator NFTs can now utilize Fireblocks’ advanced platform to securely hold and manage their digital assets. The GUNZ Validator NFTs play a crucial role in the ecosystem, enabling players to mint new in-game NFTs. Validators are rewarded with commissions in the native GUN token for their contributions to minting and trading transactions.

Empowering Users with Non-Custodial Wallet Solutions
One of the key highlights of this integration is the introduction of Fireblocks’ enterprise non-custodial wallets-as-a-service (WaaS) to the GUNZ platform. This integration provides existing and future GUNZ users with a non-custodial option, ensuring full ownership and control over their in-game assets across all games built on the GUNZ chain. To date, GUNZ has impressively amassed over 800,000 wallets on its testnet, showcasing its robust adoption and user engagement.

Leadership Insights
Vlad Korolov, CEO of Gunzilla Games, expressed his enthusiasm about the integration, stating, “We are thrilled to announce the completion of GUNZ’s integration with Fireblocks. This will open the door for institutional clients to manage their GUN tokens and GUNZ Validator NFTs with Fireblocks’ leading enterprise-grade platform with multi-layer security. The integration also provides a non-custodial option for GUNZ users, strengthening the offering of the in-game digital economy on GUNZ. We are proud to be working with Fireblocks to provide this core building block as we create a new standard for blockchain-enabled games.”

Enhancing the Gaming Experience
The integration is set to significantly enhance the gaming experience for users by providing a secure and autonomous environment for managing in-game assets. Omer Amsel, head of Web3 at Fireblocks, highlighted the benefits, saying, “We are delighted to be working with Gunzilla Games to create a seamless Web3 onboarding experience for Web2 users and provide a secure environment for gamers’ assets. By integrating Fireblocks’ non-custodial wallets into the GUNZ platform, players have complete ownership of their in-game assets, providing them with full autonomy to easily buy, sell, or trade in-game items, and enhancing the overall gaming experience.”

Future Prospects and Industry Impact
Gunzilla Games’ integration with Fireblocks follows its recent partnership with OpenSea and a successful $30 million funding round, co-led by CoinFund and Avalanche Foundation’s Blizzard Fund, with participation from Republic Capital and Morningstar Ventures. This strategic alignment underscores Gunzilla’s commitment to innovation and leadership in the blockchain gaming space.

Gunzilla’s first major project on the GUNZ blockchain, the cyberpunk-style battle royale game Off The Grid, is slated for release this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Additionally, Gunzilla’s SDK and white-label components will be made available to other game developers seeking to launch their own projects on the GUNZ platform, further expanding the ecosystem.

Founded in 2020 and based in Frankfurt, Germany, Gunzilla Games continues to push the boundaries of blockchain-enabled gaming, setting new standards for the industry.
