Sarah walked through the bustling airport, lugging her heavy suitcase behind her. She was exhausted after the long flight, but excitement coursed through her at the thought of seeing Marc again.

It had been over a year since they last saw each other in person. They met while backpacking through Europe the summer after college and had been doing long distance ever since. What started as a summer fling turned into daily phone calls, weekend trips to visit each other, and eventually declaring their love for one another.

Sarah spotted Marc standing by the arrival gates, waving at her with a huge grin on his face. She quickened her pace and threw her arms around him, breathing in his familiar scent.

"I missed you so much!" Marc said, hugging her tightly.

"Me too! It's so good to finally be here," Sarah replied.

Marc grabbed her suitcase and they walked hand-in-hand to his car. He lived in a cozy apartment not too far from downtown. He gave her a mini tour, showing off the kitchen he had meticulously cleaned, the living room where they would sip coffee in the mornings, and his bedroom where she would be staying.

"I want you to feel at home here," Marc said sincerely.

"As long as I'm with you, I'm home," Sarah said. Marc smiled and pulled her in for a long, slow kiss.

Over the next few days, Marc took Sarah around his city, creating new memories at the farmer's market, museums, and his favorite local eateries. At night, they would cook dinner together and talk for hours.

One morning, Marc took Sarah to a scenic lookout point just as the sun was rising. Pink and orange hues danced across the sky.

"It's so beautiful here," Sarah sighed contentedly.

"Not as beautiful as you," Marc said, turning to face her. "Sarah, this past year apart from you has only made me realize how much I want to be with you every day. I want to fall asleep next to you and wake up next to you. I want a home and a life with you."

Marc got down on one knee and pulled out a ring box from his jacket pocket.

"Sarah, will you marry me?"

Tears sprang to Sarah's eyes. She covered her mouth in happy shock.

"Yes! Of course I'll marry you!"

Marc swept her into his arms and spun her around. When he placed the diamond ring on her finger, she knew in her heart she had found her soulmate.

Over the next year, Marc and Sarah planned their dream wedding, figuring out all the details long-distance but always making time to see each other.

Finally, their big day arrived. Sarah wore an elegant lace gown and Marc looked so handsome in a tailored suit. They recited heartfelt vows and sealed their commitment with a kiss. The reception was filled with laughter, joyful tears, and celebratory dancing.

As Sarah gazed lovingly at her new husband, she felt like the luckiest woman in the world. The long distance struggle had only strengthened their relationship. Now they could start their married life together, and Sarah couldn't wait to see what adventure was around the corner.
