Did you click on the post because of the title? Haha. Well, you are about to read a partially interesting story of my first heartbreak.

School life in my country may be different from yours, but in my country, you'd begin from pre-nursery class to nursery to primary to secondary, then to the university where you get a degree in your field of studies.
Right before you hop into the university, you are expected to write a couple of exams before you will be admitted into the university as a student. These exams are JAMB and Aptitude Test.
After secondary school, there is usually this tension that comes with waiting on the outcome of the 2 exams written, these exams would determine if you will be admitted into the university and you can imagine how tensed students would be while waiting for the results.
For students who can't make it into the university through these exams, they usually have several other options one is doing a program called BASIC that will allow them to get direct entry into the university without having to use the previously mentioned exams method.
Unfortunately, I was also to use the BASIC program to get admission into the university. I had resumed the program and we were so many. According to the rumour that existed then, we were told that only about 1% of students that applied for a course will actually get the course they applied for, and the others will be sent to other departments. So at that moment, it was survival of the fittest, everyone had eyes on their book at all times.
Fortunately for me, I got a call from home that I was offered admission to do my course at the university to which I had applied and I was expected to be home that weekend.
The joy of returning home and doing my desired course probably filled my heart throughout the journey home, but something really bad happened along the trip.
I left all my luggage in a taxi I had boarded while travelling back to my home town. It was an experience I would not wish for anyone, I get so devastated and confused on the street. I was heartbroken and heart shattered.
I just had to summon the courage to go back home without my luggage. Well, long story short, the luggage was returned to ME. But damn, I had tasted heartbreak at a very young age, and it somehow made me stronger.

You probably thought it will be a boy-girl story, but I will leave that for another day. What was your first heartbreak like?
