My Crypto Discord Weekly Round-Up #9
Crypto Media is a great source of information, it's very easily digested as it's all organised for you. Not a lot in it outside the mainstream projects though and when that information gets to you it's usually old.
Crypto Twitter is a great source of information too, but it's literally everything so the noise can often overpower any signal. Hard to identify what the people posting have to do with the projects they're talking about too.
Crypto Discords are kinda the best of both worlds. They have the structure that Crypto Twitter does not (and can never have) but go deeper then Crypto Media can (or will ever be able to). The downside is you need to actually be in the Discords to see the information.
There's a lot of interesting stuff that gets announced in Discords that I see, that others don't.
I'm sharing anything I think is particularly noteworthy for people outside of the Discords.
And quite frankly I love what these teams are doing and think it should get more airtime so I'm trying to do my bit to make that happen.
I post daily on my Solcial account (see link at the bottom of the post) and on BULB I'm doing a weekly summary of those posts in a blog post (like the one you're reading now!).
The rules I've set for myself are pretty simple:
I only post from the official announcements channel/s in each Discord. No gated token/NFT gated channels and no discussions from the channels.
I only post what I find interesting. Your mileage may vary. I do have a soft spot for alpha though...

Beethoven X 31/07/2023
Beethoven X has identified an issue with the previous iteration of the Dollar Dollar Bills (ERN / bb-rf-USDC / bb-rf-USDT) pool on Optimism.

The issue identified is isolated, with no other pools on the DEX affected. It is also unrelated to the current Vyper re-entrancy issue on Curve pools.
Unfortunately, this solitary issue has resulted in a malicious actor removing $79k in liquidity from the old pool. We wholeheartedly empathize with all users affected and want to assure all that the DAO is evaluating all options to ensure the most seamless outcome of this event.
We will release any new information as ongoing investigations unfold, and again want to assure users this is an isolated issue. The latest iteration of the pool, as well as all other pools on the DEX, are unaffected.

Following on from the previously identified issue with the foregoing iteration of the Dollar Dollar Bills (ERN / bb-rf-USDC / bb-rf-USDT) pool on Optimism, the Beethoven X team has conducted an in-depth post mortem analysis to evaluate risk and implement a path moving forward.
Although the issue identified was isolated, with no other pools on the DEX affected we wanted to be thorough in our post-incident process and provide transparency to our users.

If you had ERN staked in the stability pool over the weekend, you may have noticed a substantial amount of $OP you received as rewards.
Yesterday there was a sizeable liquidation amounting to 34,628 $OP totalling $51,942
Everyone with ERN in the stability pool, either directly on Ethos or via the stERN vault on Reaper Alpha, grossed roughly 4.3% worth of their position at the time of the liquidation in $OP
The ERN used to liquidate the position totalled ~$41,800, which means the stability pool secured over $10,000 as liquidation profit
For every 100 ERN you had staked in the stability pool, you netted roughly $0.87 profit (depending on the exact amount of ERN in the pool at the time), all in one transaction!
Events like these serve as excellent opportunities to highlight the function of the stability pool and the benefits of being a stability provider. During times of high volatility, liquidations can be frequent, and although not all of them as large as the one we witnessed yesterday, being a stability provider exposes you to this volatility without the price exposure.

1 - Bonded OATH emissions on Beethoven have been wound down until Digit's imminent launch
2 - Thena's new reward system has bricked the veVOTER so the veTHE vault has been deprecated

4 - A reminder that an OATH token migration will be occuring soon, Axelar is finalizing our deployment now and then we will begin. A further announcement will come with graphics and videos detailing how to make the swap.

Other notes: OATH Governance passed and has officially started, our OATH Ecosystem website is not far behind!
Block by block ERN gets stronger and more battle-tested, our Reaper MultiStrategy vaults on Optimism are getting quite performant.
Any users in the Sonne single-asset vaults should consider a migration as they won't be receiving any more updates in the future, I will share another post once a deprecation of those vaults has begun.

With the relaunch of our Zealy Leaderboard, we've noticed an increase in submissions with outdated links, materials, and information. To ensure the that your points are counted, please follow the following guidelines:
- Please generate quality, up-to-date content that aligns with the current state of Stride.
- Links to post on Twitter, Reddit, Medium, and Discord, and transaction links older than one-week will no longer be accepted. This policy ensures that our community shares the most current and relevant information.
- Submissions must contain accurate and verifiable information. We will reject any content that does not truthfully reflect the state of Stride.
- Duplicating the same post across different quests is not allowed. Such posts will be rejected, and repeat violators may be removed from Zealy program.

We have just shipped Jupiter v3 which features our new novel routing algorithm - Metis that improves price discovery for all trades, vastly improves slippage for large trades and elegantly scales for future Solana upgrades and DEXs.
In addition to the major algorithm update, Jupiter v3 introduces several new features and key improvements, including Jupiter DCA, LO integration into routing engine, Jupiter Space Station, feedback & fallback mechanisms, expanded pools and shared intermediary accounts!
