Happy Mothers Day

When I was a child, I thought my mother was just doing what mothers do.
I didn’t see the sleepless nights when she stayed awake just to make sure I was okay. I didn’t understand the quiet sacrifices she made so I could have a better life. I only knew that every time I fell, she was there to lift me up.
She was there in the little things — the warm meals after a long day, the words of encouragement when I felt like giving up, the gentle reminders that I was capable of more than I believed.
As I grew older, I started to notice the things I once overlooked. The way she carried so many responsibilities but still found time to listen to me. The way she worried about me even when she didn’t show it. The way her love stayed constant through every stage of my life.
A mother’s love is not always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it’s quiet, patient, and steady — like a light that never goes out.
Today, I understand that many of the things I am proud of in myself began with her — her lessons, her sacrifices, her strength, and her endless belief in me.
So today isn’t just another day. It’s a reminder to pause and appreciate the woman who gave so much of herself so I could grow, learn, and become who I am today.
Happy Mother’s Day to the woman whose love shaped my world. Thank you for every hug, every lesson, every prayer, and every sacrifice.
Your love is a gift I will carry with me forever.
