Ice shooting in Minnesota
The truth is, this situation resides in that imperfect gray area where most humans live.
She probably really didn't intend to hit him with her car, but she shouldn't have accelerated like that with people so close to the car either.
He probably really didn't intend to shoot her, but he shouldn't have pointed his gun at her like that either.
She was in a high pressure situation with people yelling at her to stop! or to drive! and she reacted in a split second with her foot on the gas pedal.
He was in a high pressure situation with people yelling at him and he reacted in a split second with his finger on the trigger.
This post won't get much engagement because it doesn't further either side's argument, but I agree with BOTH sides, because they BOTH messed up. Humans are imperfect. Stop pretending that the other side should have reacted perfectly when most of us never do.
And above all, don't escalate a situation where humanity's imperfect reactions can end in death. Respect (your) human life, it's worth so much more than that.
