Recently, a Facebook advertisement has been circulating claiming that users can receive 0.25 BNB for free simply by installing a DeepSeek desktop application, with promises like “no fees” and “no risk.”
👉 This is a scam.

I personally verified this directly with DeepSeek, and they confirmed clearly:
There is NO such giveaway program.
The advertisement is a brand impersonation scam.

🚩 Why this is 100% a scam

1️⃣ “Free crypto with zero risk”

In crypto, no legitimate project gives away valuable assets like BNB just for installing software.
Phrases such as “free,” “guaranteed,” “no risk” are classic social engineering tactics used by scammers.

2️⃣ Forced desktop app installation (major red flag)

This is the most dangerous part:

  • Desktop apps can contain malware or keyloggers
  • They may steal seed phrases, private keys, or wallet passwords
  • They can hijack browsers and crypto wallets (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, etc.)

👉 Many users lose their entire portfolio without signing any transaction, simply because malicious software was installed.

3️⃣ Brand impersonation

Scammers often:

  • Use logos and names of AI or tech brands to appear legitimate
  • Avoid linking official websites, GitHub repos, or verified social accounts
  • Provide no smart contract address, no audit, no transaction proof

This case follows the pattern perfectly.

4️⃣ Facebook ad + unknown page

These scams are commonly promoted via:

  • Newly created Facebook pages
  • Generic names like “Professional Trading Tools”
  • Paid ads targeting crypto users

Legitimate crypto or AI companies do not distribute BNB giveaways through random Facebook pages.

❌ What you should NOT do

  • ❌ Do not click the download link
  • ❌ Do not install the application
  • ❌ Do not connect your wallet
  • ❌ Do not enter your seed phrase or private key

✅ If you already interacted with it

If you installed the app or connected a wallet, act immediately:

  1. Uninstall the software
  2. Run a full malware scan
  3. Move all funds to a brand-new wallet
  4. Never reuse the old seed phrase again

🧠 Final reminder

A simple rule that will save you money in crypto:

If someone gives you “free money” upfront, they are trying to take much more from you later.

Please share this warning to protect others.
Staying skeptical is not negativity — it’s survival in crypto.
