Over the weekend, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority's Enforcement Unit seized 20 commercial cars at the state's Apongbon Bridge and Ikorodu Roundabouts.
In order to ensure the free flow of traffic and a complete crackdown on commercial buses operating illegal garages and parks on bridges and roundabouts throughout the State, the exercise was conducted.
Adebayo Taofiq, the director of the agency's public affairs unit, said this in a statement on Sunday.

The Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law of 2018 is violated by the illegal activities of the owners of commercial buses and cars on bridges and roundabouts throughout the state, according to the General Manager of the Authority, Mr. Bolaji Oreagba, who was speaking about the enforcement effort.
He continued by saying that it was disgusting to witness these commercial bus drivers acting as public nuisances by operating unlawfully on bridges and roundabouts, resulting in avoidable traffic congestion and aggravating other vehicles and users of the road.

Mr. Oreagba disclosed that the Enforcement Unit of the Authority was forced to conduct the exercise at the Apongbon Bridge and Ikorodu Roundabouts because the rebellious drivers who refuse to operate their vehicles in government-designated garages and parks throughout the State disregarded repeated warnings.
