Bobby Dixon, also known as Ali Muhammed since gaining Turkish citizenship in 2015, has left an indelible mark on the basketball world. Born on April 10, 1983, in the United States, Dixon's journey from the college courts to becoming a nationalized Turkish player is a tale of dedication and triumph.

College Career;

Dixon's basketball prowess first became evident during his college years at Troy University. Following his graduation from Chicago's Sullivan High School, he embarked on a two-year stint with the Trojans. Averaging an impressive 16.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game, Dixon earned a spot on the 2005–06 All-Sun Belt Conference First Team, solidifying his potential as a standout player.




Professional Odyssey;

Dixon's professional journey kicked off in France with Saint-Étienne Basket, setting the stage for a diverse and accomplished career. Over the years, he showcased his skills in various European leagues, from France to Poland and Italy, leaving an impact with every team he joined.


His time with Karşıyaka from 2012 to 2015 stands out, marked by his stellar performance in the Turkish Cup final and his pivotal role in securing the Turkish League championship in 2015. Dixon's excellence earned him the Turkish League Finals MVP title, leaving an enduring legacy with Karşıyaka.


Fenerbahçe Era;

In 2015, Dixon made a significant move to Fenerbahçe, signing a two-year contract that extended to an impressive six-year tenure. His contributions included a memorable triple-double performance against Beşiktaş, adding his name to Fenerbahce's history books. Under his tenure, Fenerbahçe consistently reached the EuroLeague Final Four, showcasing Dixon's pivotal role in the team's success.


As a testament to his value, Dixon signed a two-year extension with Fenerbahçe in April 2019, remaining with the club until the end of the 2020–21 season. His journey with Fenerbahçe concluded in September 2021, opening the door to a new chapter. On October 14, 2021, Bobby Dixon announced his retirement from professional basketball, marking the end of an era.
