Attention L1 community members: The LAMINA1 Mainnet is officially launching this week on Wednesday, May 15th and will be ready for public onboarding on Tuesday, May 28th. That same day, the Open Metaverse Foundation be releasing an airdrop to all LAMINA1 community members who participated in Betanet, followed by a bonus rewards round it’s calling “HubMania” — an initiative designed for new and OG community members to help grow the community and spread the word about the big launch.
This news was released on Friday, May 10 by the LAMINA core team and OMF chairman/LAMINA1 co-founder Peter Vessenes during an AMA with the L1 community. AMA Recap: Mainnet Airdrop

To kick things off, the OMF and LAMINA1 core team shared a few updates about dates to know in the upcoming Mainnet roll-out calendar for L1 community members.
On Thursday, May 16th, LAMINA1’s Token Genesis Event, or TGE will happen, and early onboarding for LAMINA1 team members, partners, Featured Artists and its top testers group will begin. This represents the moment when, for the first time, live L1 tokens will be generated on the LAMINA1 blockchain and made available to the public. This initial launch will be followed by a week and a half of early onboarding and testing.
Then, on Tuesday, May 28th, Mainnet onboarding will open up to the general public. The LAMINA1 core team will release an announcement and link to the new LAMINA1 Hub site for everyone to start signing up and creating accounts, as well as a call-to-action for all LAMINA1 Betanet testers to claim their tokens from the first airdrop we’ll be conducting for OG community members (Airdrop Beta, or ADb) through 6/15.
The dates for the L1 token listing, upcoming bonus drops, a new Hub referral program, and the LAMINA1 Brand Ambassador program will quickly follow the May 28th launch date, but are still yet to be announced.
From there, the OMF and LAMINA1 core team provided some additional details about Airdrop Beta, or ADb. For this first drop, 32.5 million Launch L1 (or LL1) tokens will be released to LAMINA1 community members, with individual rewards allocations based on two criteria:

• Community Rewards: Rewards linked to your Discord and Zealy activity during the LAMINA1 Testnet and Betanet. Relevant activity includes: Discord join date, badges, messaging activity, Zealy leaderboard status, and participation in key LAMINA1 initiatives.
• On-Chain Rewards: Rewards linked to your Hub/chain-linked activity during the LAMINA1 Betanet. Relevant activity includes: # of Betanet transactions, # of items published, # of items transferred, # of usernames reserved, # of smart contracts launched, and smart contract activity.

Re: eligibility, anyone who participated in Betanet testing before the on-chain cut-off date of 4/18 and the community engagement date cut-off of 4/26 will receive a reward. That means, if you created a LAMINA1 Hub account during Betanet and made at least one transaction on it, you will be eligible to receive on-chain rewards. If you joined the LAMINA1 Discord or Zealy community prior to 4/26, and sent at least one message or completed a Quest, you will also be eligible.
The reward allocation model for Mainnet is similar to the previous Betanet airdrop, where rewards weights/parameters were specifically designed to benefit active and engaged community members who consolidated their activity to a single identity over rewards hunters or multi-accounts. To ensure transparency and fairness, the LAMINA1 core team will be releasing the airdrop smart contract and ADb data-set to the community shortly after the public launch.
The claim process for Airdrop Beta will happen via a new Airdrop Tab on the LAMINA1 Hub, which will walk users through a step-by-step process for checking their on-chain rewards, then connecting their Discord to their Hub address to check for community rewards before claiming their total rewards. Recipients can then begin to unwrap their airdrop tokens as they unlock in the new “Wallet” tab that will be launching on the LAMINA1 Hub for Mainnet. To facilitate the unwrapping of tokens, the Open Metaverse Foundation will be allocating a small amount of liquid L1 to each community member that is eligible. This amount has yet to be announced.
Note that Airdrop tokens will be given to ADb recipients as LL1 tokens, which slowly unlock to liquid L1 over time, and have a current unlock rate of 3% per quarter or .03% per day. NOTE: LAMINA1 community members will have just two weeks to claim their airdrop tokens, with the airdrop claim period ending on Saturday, June 15th. We encourage LAMINA1 community members to claim their airdrops and start unwrapping tokens as soon as possible after the public launch date of May 28th to help maximize their rewards and earning potential on the LAMINA1 platform.

Introducing: HubMania

“But wait!” you may ask: What about LAMINA1 community members who just joined the community, or who are just now returning to the platform after hearing about Mainnet launch?
To mark the transition from Betanet and Mainnet, and to level the playing field for future rewards drops, the LAMINA1 core team announced it was officially resetting all XP scores on the official LAMINA1 Quest platform, and will be releasing a bonus round of incentivization and rewards opportunities called “HubMania” that will run parallel to the upcoming launch.
For this bonus round, all LAMINA1 community members — both new and OG — will be eligible, and will be rewarded for participating in upcoming initiatives designed to help grow the community and get the word out about Mainnet. These bonus rewards will come out of the pool of unclaimed LL1 tokens from the Airdrop Beta (ADb) drop, as well as some additional surprise prize pools from the Open Metaverse Foundation to be announced.
After the ADb claim period closes, rewards will be dropped into the wallets of participating members based on their campaign activity throughout the summer of 2024, including their participation in Hubmania questing, how many people they invite to the platform via upcoming referral programs, and other community contests/initiatives that will roll out during the initial onboarding period.

New quests will automatically be announced on the new #hubmania channel on the LAMINA1 Discord server, and on the LAMINA1 X/Twitter page throughout the campaign. After that, we plan to start introducing native Questing to the LAMINA1 Hub via our own custom-built Space and upcoming partner/community Spaces launching on LAMINA1.
