There have been lots of aboriginal people that play sport in australia but only a few have a significant impact on the children that are watching so these are three of the most significant contributions of Indigenous people to sport in Australia

  • Patty mills

Patty mills is a well known basketball player in the NBA his biggest sporting achievement would be winning a NBA championship with the San Antonio spurs and is still playing today with the Brooklyn nets.

  • Cathy Freeman

Cathay freeman is probably the most famous aboriginal in sport history she was a competitor in the commonwealth games and won gold when she was only 16 years old and made her way into the history books.

  • Greg Inglis

Greg Inglis was a very popular NRL player he played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs and got to show his background with celebrations and dances throughout his career. His biggest sporting achievement would be winning his three championships and will go down as one of the best players ever in the NRL.
