The coffee mug

The office is in order. Your coffee mug is still on the shelf above the printer. Nobody used it. We washed it once, dried it, and put it back. It has your name on it, and your kind of tea stains at the bottom. Some things we just don’t touch.

Lagos was kind this week. No traffic wahala, no sudden power cut in meetings. We closed the client file, paid the vendors, and the team showed up early. I handled the small issue with delivery. Nothing major, sir. Just keeping the standard you set.

I hope you’re doing well too. I hope you’re drinking your tea slowly, without emails popping up. I hope your mornings are quiet and your heart is not heavy. A man who carries a company deserves mornings for himself.
