What's Ghostwriting?
Ghostwriting is not a difficult thing to do.
Ghostwriting is not some calculus equation that makes you question your life choices.
It’s actually more direct and easier than many assume it to be.
What's ghostwriting?
Ghostwriting is simply a professional service where a writer, known as the ghostwriter, creates content on behalf of another person (the client) who gets credited as the author.
Ghostwriting can be done for books, blog articles, social media updates, etc.
As long as it involves writing, someone can be hired to be a ghostwriter.
But ghostwriting is different from other forms of writing as it comes with its own set of rules.
Here are the 3 rules that I follow strictly:
->A ghostwriter’s contribution must always remain anonymous (the client is the owner of the work)
->A ghostwriter needs to be a chameleon. He must be able to tailor his writing style, tone, and content to reflect the client’s voice and vision.
->Confidentiality is paramount in ghostwriting. You don't go around telling people the identity of your client. You are a GHOST-writer. You are paid to write and leave the scene like a ghost.
These 3 basic rules are what make you a ghostwriter imo.
In case I missed out on anything you can let me know in my comments or dm.
And about the writing styles, I will be dropping a follow-up post about it. Ghostwriting is not difficult, but you need to be a skilled writer to make a difference.
