The Calendar With One Date Circled
I’m doing well, Steve. Thank you for asking.
The office is calm. On the wall, the calendar is still on your month. There’s one date circled in blue ink. Nobody rubbed it out. We don’t know what it was for anymore, but we know it mattered to you. So we’re keeping it.
Lagos was steady this week. The team delivered, the client paid, and no one cut corners. I handled the supplier delay and sorted the payroll. Everything is moving the way you taught us — with order, and with respect.
I hope you’re doing well too. I hope that circled date isn’t weighing on you. If it was a target, a meeting, or a dream, may it still find you in peace. If it passed, may something better be waiting.
_Que sera, sera._ Whatever will be, will be. We don’t chase what’s not ours today. We do today’s work well, and we trust time with the rest.
Your name is still on the door. Your plans are still on the wall. The date is still circled.
Come back when you’re ready. We’ll flip the page together, and write the next one with you.
