We’re excited to announce that we have officially pencilled in the second phase of our testnet in the first week of April.
We expect the second phase of the testnet to run from April 2nd, providing you with a final opportunity to get involved in the $FIG airdrop before we launch on the mainnet.
Our second phase of the testing is designed to trial the new exciting features we’re currently implementing, which will take protocol to an entirely new level.
With things running smoothly, we’re expecting a mainnet launch by mid-April, and we’re incredibly excited to bring our Filecoin lending and borrowing platform to life!

Testnet Phase 2: A Final Chance For $FIG Airdrops

Testnet phase 2 is nearly upon us, presenting the final chance to get involved in the upcoming $FIG airdrop.
Everybody participating in our free testnet will be airdropped $FIG, our governance token, which will be crucial to the functioning of our protocol. We have some exciting features for $FIG holders that we intend to announce next week, which will bring FILLiquid into a modern era of DeFi and push $FIG beyond the scope of governance.
We intend phase 2 of the testnet run for approximately two weeks, giving our community around two weeks to test the new features and participate in our historic airdrop event.

How to Participate?

Participating in the second phase of the testnet will be the same as the first phase.
First, you must connect your wallet to the Filecoin Calibration testnet network and use the faucet to load the wallet with free $tFIL tokens — the testnet token for Filecoin.

Then, you can head over to the FILLiquid testnet page and connect your wallet. After connecting, you’ll be free to trial our three original products — $FIL Staking, $FIL Borrowing, and $FIG Farming — and the new feature we’re currently implementing.
To test $FIL Staking, the lending side of our protocol, you simply need to deposit $tFIL into the liquidity pool. In return, you will receive $FIT — our liquid staking derivative token — as a proof of your stake in the protocol. $FIT will provide earnings through interest payments and can be used in the $FIG farming product.

To test $FIG farming, you must deposit your $FIT liquid staking derivative into the smart contract by selecting the duration you want to farm $FIG. The higher the duration, the more $FIG farmed. Of course, as this is just a testnet, the length you select doesn’t matter.

Our new product for testing will be announced next week, and we will release a new tutorial to guide you through the entire process.

Levelling Up: External Audit Incoming With New Features Before Mainnet Launch

The first phase of our testnet allowed us to obtain the crucial data we needed to improve our protocol before launching on the mainnet.
We’ve spent the past week analyzing the data and have identified potential UI/UX improvements and $FIG distribution optimizations to improve our protocol. We’re currently working to have them both implemented for the second phase.
In addition, we’re currently undergoing an external smart contract audit through Certik, one of the most highly respected cybersecurity firms in the industry. We take the security of our depositors seriously and have onboarded the best firm to ensure our protocol meets industry standards.
Our external audit report should be due in the final week of March, and we will share it with the community when it’s ready.
Overall, we’re very close to launching our $FIL lending and borrowing platform on the mainnet and are incredibly excited to go live. The final phase of our testnet is the last vital step to complete before the mainnet activation.
