The Welder Who Built His Own Door

There was a young guy named Tunde. He learned welding, but nobody was giving him big jobs. Only small gates and window burglary.

Every night he would sit outside his small workshop, tired, looking at people drive past in big cars. He’d tell himself: _“One day.”_

One day a rich man came. “I need a gate for my new house. Can you do it?”
Tunde quoted a fair price. The man laughed. “You? You look too young.”
And he left.

Tunde didn’t shout. He just went back to his shop. That same night, he used scrap metal to weld something for himself — a strong, beautiful door. Not for sale. For his own shop.

Months passed. That rich man’s gate got rusty and broke. A friend told him, “Go to that small welder. I saw the door he made for himself. It’s solid.”

The man came back. This time he didn’t laugh.
“Make me one like this.”
Tunde did. And the man paid well. Then he brought his 3 other friends.

Today Tunde has 4 apprentices. And on his shop he wrote:
*“I didn’t wait for opportunity. I welded it myself.”*
