China has implemented a 1-hour reporting requirement for severe cybersecurity incidents! First, this is in stark contrast to the disorganized and lengthy US reporting requirements, but more importantly it provides insights to one of the most aggressive cyber nation-states in how they see what is the necessary response for the future of cyber warfare!

China's approach to rapid incident reporting stands out. With regulations mandating one-hour reporting for severe incidents, China showcases a proactive stance, leveraging its expertise to mitigate impacts swiftly. Meanwhile, the U.S. faces challenges with disorganized requirements and pushback from businesses. This contrast highlights the need for strategic foresight and responsibility in cybersecurity practices.

I recently published a video to my Substack and Cybersecurity Insights channel discussing the topic.
