Is tertiary education necessary

An answer to this question will vary with who you ask. There are people who believe it is necessary and there are people that don't. People who believe college or university is necessary are people who are venturing into professions that require knowledge acquired from tertiary institutions like doctors, lawyers, engineers, pharmacists etc. For these set of people, tertiary education is really necessary as certain degrees and level of knowledge is required before you can scale in said career or profession. As this people who believe tertiary education is worth it there are people who don't. Example there are people who have learnt a lot of skills either online or from an individual in person. These people are either business driven people or tech driven people. There are a lot of programmers that didn't get their coding skills from a tertiary institution. My point here is, no one should be forced to attain tertiary education, especially when the person has the required skills to help him or her excel and ready to put in the work to develop said skill.
