Bulb Community Zealy: Medium blogger search & $BULB prizes!
Hey you fabulous Bulb-ers!
We're back with another Bulb Community Zealy campaign.
This time around we're focused on Medium and bring across good writers from there to Bulb. Even if they just cross post, we think that for a lot of non-large accounts on Medium, Bulb (and most of web3 social) is actually a much better product for them.
So let's dive into what's happening, how you can get involved and what's coming up next.

Once you've signed up, make sure to complete the first quest in order to level up and unlock the Medium focused quests.
Onboarding Medium bloggers
We need more legit users on Bulb and a lot more good writers who can bring some or all of their audience with them from Medium.
To that end we're doing a series of quests around finding and recruiting writers from Medium for Bulb. Even if it's just to cross post from Medium we think there's a large chunk of writers on Medium now who would see a lot of value from Bulb.
Crypto is big on Medium, but it's massive on Bulb
Bulb is a web3 protocol. It distributes weekly rewards in a crypto token ($BULB) that is able to be traded.
So it's not surprising crypto dominates the content on Bulb at present. In time we hope for Bulb to become more broadly focused, just as Medium is, but the sweet spot right now is crypto.
If you're passionate about blockchains and the apps that sit on top of them why wouldn't you want to be also using one of those apps to publish your blog.
Medium has a significant amount of crypto content. It's definitely not a major content area, and it doesn't dominate like on Bulb, but it's big enough.
Take for example these topic areas on Medium at the moment, remembering this is only content where writers have explicitly added these tags, there is content that is also aligned to crypto which isn't tagged correctly.
The biggest two are pretty big.

Even the more narrow crypto topics are still sizeable
A blogger like the below, you would think, should be a perfect fit for Bulb. They're not in big numbers on Medium yet, but:
- they've got a decent existing audience
- they put out a lot of content consistently
- in a much more crypto focused space, like Bulb, their content would be more dominant
So let's get Bulb in front of them!
Sprinting our way forward on Zealy
We'll be running this Zealy contest as a series of Sprints https://zealy.io/docs/contributor/getting-started#leaderboard--sprints
Sprints enable you to create a separate temporary leaderboard on Zealy for a subset of quests. Our first sprint is live now, if you navigate to the menu you'll see it there for both the Quests that will count and for the Leaderboard we'll be tracking on.
You a little under 2 weeks to participate.
This first set of quests you can compete daily. All the details are in the Zealy quests so check them out.
The next quests (also in a sprint) will build on this one.
