Who’s your yellow?
randomly scrolling through Instagram feed and I come across a post that says who is your yellow?
It goes on to explain what the question means,
Your yellow is someone who you hold dear to your heart, someone who’s there for you in your time of need, someone who makes life worth living, someone who has seen you at your worst and still stuck their neck out for you.
Sweetie you were my first yellow, the person who stuck his neck out for me to ensure I was happy at home, the person that I told secrets to, the person that went with me to all my hospital runs, sat beside me when they pumped drugs into me, injections on my foot, one diagnosis after the other.
The one who hugged me after a bad day, the one who shared a secret lingo with me, the one who made my life worth living.
I’m so sorry I couldn’t protect you.
